February 1st bands:

8pm: BRIANA!+ Lemôn Royale
Singer-songwriter BRIANA! is a vocalist infusing jazz, R&B, and story-telling into her music and performances, creating an intimate healing place for her listeners. Her emotion-driven music is inspired by her experiences in love as well as her personal journey through chronic illness. BRIANA! creates an atmosphere that feels like home to her and her listeners alike. With a deep desire to be a catalyst for change, BRIANA! sings to free herself from her bodily constraints and to liberate those around her as well. Through her rich, luscious tone and soulful serenades, BRIANA! calls out to those listening, “let me take you away, to a magical place where nobody can hurt you…”

Born in Miami, Florida, BRIANA! grew up with a wide range of influences – especially trail-blazing artists like Joss Stone, Jill Scott, and Alicia Keys. Her band, Lemon Royale, is a collaboration between BRIANA! and her friends John Hetherington and Nick Gambardella that fuses R&B soul with indie edge. The group has been writing together for 5 years, and are deeply inspired to share their music with the world. BRIANA! and Lemon Royale will be releasing their respective singles this year, as well as full length albums on the way!

9pm: Treis ( & Friends)
Is a four-piece suburban funk band based out of Central Florida, USA. Named after frontman Treis Alexander, the group’s style combines an ever-evolving sound of Funk, R&B, Pop, and Rock with brutal lyrical honesty to produce a diverse back catalog of music, and high-energy live performances. In early 2024 Treis & Friends announced their first major project in almost four years – a dance funk EP entitled “Lush,” which the band describes as a “sleepy take on the quieting club scene.”

10pm: Telula (headliner)
Lucas Aney and Thomas Jensen are two young musicians who, in their first days of college in 2021, found common ground in their passion for funk music. Over the following year, they formed the band Telula and spent countless hours learning how to professionally record, produce, and release music – all out of their dorm. Their dedication and hard work paid off in the creation of a nine-song album, each track showcasing their unique sound and individual proficiency on bass and guitar.

Now followed by more than 200,000 fans around the world and viewed by millions online, Telula’s
shared love of funk is evident in their music. They take inspiration from greats such as Stevie Wonder and modern masters like Vulfpeck, while incorporating their own pop and jazz influences withcontemporary twists. Their music is soulful and dynamic, with intricate melodies backed by funky rhythms. Joining Thomas and Lucas to bring the sound to life on stage are Marie Solis on vocals, Lars Asmundsson on drums, Conor Smith on sax and Pete Rosales on keys. Their combination of technical proficiency and artistic expression creates a sound that is both inspiring and energizing. In their short time together, Telula have proven themselves to be talented and dedicated musicians.

Founders Lucas and Thomas’ self-taught approach to music creation and production is a testament to their passion and drive. Having released their first album at the early age of 19 and a five-song EP one
year later in 2023, Telula’s music is sure to be enjoyed by fans for years to come.
