Rebuilding The Village
It’s almost time for Harvest House’s annual fundraiser – the Home Again Luncheon! Our theme this year is “Rebuilding the Village.”
Here at Harvest House, our clients face multiple adversities. These adversities may include mental health, substance abuse, physical illness, domestic and community violence, poverty, and insecure housing. These barriers rob dignity and create a feeling separate from, beneath, or different from others, causing isolation.
A quote we hear often is “It takes a village,” an African proverb meaning it takes a whole community of people to create a healthy and safe environment. Regardless of your life stage: parents raising children, married with no children, single, or late adulthood, we need community.
You can continue participating in our mission of rebuilding the village by supporting the annual Home Again Luncheon on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 11:30 AM at Michael’s on East.
We will feature a brave young woman who journeyed from a life of isolation on the streets to a home for her and her daughter.
The Home Again Luncheon is our major fundraiser of the year. The funds raised support our programs for nearly one thousand adults, youth, and children we serve annually.
