Fogartyville’s Poets Unplugged spoken word series, curated by Melanie Lavender (host of “Community Conversations With Mel” on WSLR), kicks off in October with poet 13th Disciple.
The 13th Disciple, who takes the stage at 8 p.m., uses the gift of spoken word to share the gospel in a way that can reach a younger generation.
A curated open mic begins at 9 p.m. Spoken word artists who are interested in performing are asked to fill out this form.
