It’s fair to say that Sarasota has earned its reputation as the “Culinary Capital of Florida,” with 58 independently-owned diverse restaurants that belong to the restaurant trade group, “Eat Like a Local: Sarasota/Manatee County Originals,”  and many, many more restaurants that offer menus that reflect their ethnic origins.

I’ve been writing feature articles about restaurants for years, and while readers appreciate the effort, this new endeavor, “Eat Sarasota” will give restaurant-goers a visual experience of local restaurants through creative, one-minute videos that give a glimpse of the food, ambience, interviews with restaurant owners (and more). Here’s a sneak preview of the new food channel that can be found on YouTube. The channel will populate with new restaurants featured each week. For now, enjoy the two (1)-minute videos of the following restaurants and please SUBSCRIBE (free) to the site to show your support:

AMORE ITALIAN & PORTUGUESE RESTAURANT

D’CORATO ITALIAN RESTAURANT

Please SUBSCRIBE (free) to the EAT SARASOTA site and also forward to others who might enjoy the visual, culinary segments. Are you a Sarasota/Manatee County restaurant that wants to be featured in Eat Sarasota? Write Candace@eatsarasota.com.
