Get Spooky with Misha!
Learn Misha’s take on the super popular, ultra fun and fabulous Witch’s Dance first made famous in Germany by the Wolfshäger Hexenbrut.
Over the course of 6 weeks, we’ll dance together and laugh, you’ll make new friends and have a time once a week for *you* to connect with a group of really fabulous people as well as a weekly commitment to move your body in a low-pressure, fun environment. These are actual fitness based dance classes where you will get a workout while learning a fun choreo too.
While this dance has some bellydance elements, you will not need to have experience to dance with us. Each movement will be broken down, drilled, and set to different music to help you learn how to dance while you learn this fun choreography!
All ages, levels, abilities, shapes, sizes, backgrounds welcome! We will finish our journey by having a fun and funky flash mob at the Crystal Cave on Friday Oct 25. You’ll get to dress up in your witchy or wizardy best too, perfect for Halloween! We usually have other opportunities to perform throughout the month too with dates and times TBA.
Check out the dance that is inspiring us here – super fun! While we will use elements from this to honor the Wolfshäger Hexebrut dancers who originally danced it, we will also be adding in our own fresh Florida flair!
This class is open to all levels of dancers who’d like to learn this super cute dance and boogie down!

$90 for the 6 weeks includes virtual classes, recordings of class, extra practice videos, costuming tutorials, and handouts…and more!
—> We will have a dress rehearsal Thurs Oct 10 and 17 for our multiple performances of the season. Dancers in this class will have the option to perform provided they are able to meet performance requirements.

***Can’t make it to the class but want to dance with us virtually? Are you in another town or Country and want to join us? You can! Misha is making videos and handouts, and you can get witchy with us through special zoom calls. Same price – $90 includes 6 weeks of class recordings via Zoom breaking down movements and stylizations, video explaining costuming tips and tricks, and an opportunity to perform to be in a video of us all dancing it together!

Why Witches? This is a *super* fun dance choreography and one where you can really get creative with your costuming and character. It’s a great way to celebrate the seasons, since we adults don’t always get to have fun and cut loose and dress up. This is a prefect “excuse” to bring a little bit of the fall magic into your life, bring movement into your weekly routine, and enjoy the connections that form through the magic of the dance. In no way do you need to be a witch to do this dance; the “magic” of it is just being willing to dance and have fun!
Also just a gentle reminder that witches have been feared throughout history, but often they were the healers and wise women (and men!) of a community. While this word carries a lot of wounds and trauma, and can definitely be scary for some, in our dance we can use it to remember and to celebrate the wisdom of women and their ability to learn to heal and bring connections to nature and the rhythms of the world to others.
