Main Street Walking Tour

Gain insight into the evolution of American architecture while experiencing the buildings and history of Sarasota’s celebrated Main Street.

Gain insight into the evolution of American architecture while experiencing the historical development of Sarasota and the buildings that make up its much-celebrated Main Street. From the Sarasota County Courthouse (1927) to the former S.H Kress & Company Store (1932) to Sarasota Memorial Hospital / former Sarasota Herald-Tribune Offices (2006), the iconic edifices of Main Street showcase some 80 years of architectural history, design styles, and local stories.

Details:

2-hour Guided Walking Tour with numerous stops

Departs and returns to the McCulloch Pavilion, 265 S Orange Avenue

Morning Tour: 10:00am-12:00pm (check-in 15 minutes prior)

Afternoon Tour: 1:30pm-3:30pm (check-in 15 minutes prior)

Tickets:

Members: $50 (check-in 15 minutes prior to departure)

Not-Yet Members: $60 (check-in 15 minutes prior to departure)

• Prepare to be in the sun (sunscreen, sunglasses, hat).
