Masterworks 3: Friends and Inspirations

Sir Stephen Hough, recognized by The Guardian as “…a keyboard colossus…” brings his deep, interpretive gifts to Rachmaninoff’s glorious Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini , portions of which have found their way into film and television scores for decades. The program concludes with Sir Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations, a love letter to the composer’s nearest and dearest friends and family.
