Event Details
Listen Hear, Sarasota Art Museum’s classical music program featuring world-class artists performing in an intimate, casual setting, presents a new roster of diverse music and musicians on Saturdays at 2 pm. Curated by concert violinist Max Tan, each salon-style event includes a short, classical music program, insights from the artists, and conversation. Join us on April 15 for Max Tan (violin), Sam Boutris (clarinet), and Chelsea Wang (piano).
April 15: Max Tan, Sam Boutris, and Chelsea Wang: Textures and Timbres
Tan, Boutris, and Wang will perform works by Mozart, Brahms, Bruch, and other gems of the chamber music repertoire revolving around the viola and clarinet. Elements of the instruments’ singing, breathing, and speaking characteristics will be compared as the artists discuss their interplay—and exchangeability—in classical music.
The concerts will be held in Thomas McGuire Hall; $40 for Members and $55 for Not-Yet Members; seating is limited; advance ticket purchase with pre-event registration is recommended.
