A classic in the Royal Ballet repertory, this lyrical and charming work choreographed by Sir Frederick Ashton, was an immediate hit at its 1960 premiere and continues to be a company triumph. Starring principals Natalia Osipova (Lise) and Steven McRae (Colas) and directed for the screen by Ross MacGibbon. Barry Wordsworth conducts the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House.
