On November 10, Jazz at Two features for the first time Robbie Rose Retro. Jazz pianist Robbie Rose has assembled an outstanding group of musicians for this afternoon’s concert.

Enjoy a great mix of familiar songs from yesteryear, songs from the movies, and a jazzy sound on pop favorites with a bit of Bossa and Latin beat and music from the composers of the American Songbook with Robbie Rose’s “Retro”. Originally from the Detroit area, Rose attended the New England Conservatory of Music focusing on piano and music composition. He has composed and recorded 100s tunes for radio, TV, and the industrial sector, including the theme for ABC’s “Zoo Life Magazine” TV series. Rose has appeared with Cab Calloway, Gil Evans, George Russell, The Rascals, Kenny Garrett, Jerry Bergonzi, and David Mann, among others.
