Felix Mendelssohn’s powerful Sinfonia in B Minor, written when the composer was only 14 years old, opens the program.

George Gershwin’s Lullaby for Strings adds a jazzy touch.

Noubar Aslanyan’s Trumpet Concertino features Robert Smith in a brilliant work for trumpet and strings.

The program concludes with Ernest Bloch’s exhilarating Concerto Grosso for String Orchestra and Piano Obbligato with Ann Stephenson-Moe, pianist.
