Join us on a morning hike at Little Manatee River State Park. This park is one of Florida’s smaller parks but is consistently one of Florida’s best-rated parks. This is a great 4-mile hike that contains a multitude of various ecosystems in Hillsborough County. This hike will take you through large oak canopies and along the pine flatlands and dry prairie. Our guide will be pointing out the Flora and Fauna of the area along the way.
This is a great area of Florida for bird watching and locating other native wildlife.
This is a back-country trail that has some uneven terrain and narrow paths.
For the comfort and enjoyment of all our guests and for your pet’s safety, we ask that pets not be brought along on our trips. Certified Service animals are always allowed at all our events.
The cost of the guided hike is #$20.00/ person and park admission is not included in the guided hike fee. The park entrance fees are as follows: $4 single-occupant vehicle or $5 per car with 2 – 8 occupants. Carpooling or use of State Park Annual Passes is encouraged!
You must sign up for this event in advance and bring the ticket that is emailed upon registration.
We will be meeting in parking area of the trailhead inside the main park off of Lightfoot Rd.
Here is a suggested list of items to bring:
• Small Day pack
• Trekking Poles
• Drinking water in a reusable bottle or hydration pack
• Sturdy hiking shoes
• Walking stick or hiking poles

If you cancel your Booking on your own initiative at least 24 hours before the start, Peek Protect will refund you 100% of the protected amount listed in your confirmation email. See the Burg through new eyes as Monica walks you through the history of St. Pete’s wonderful waterfront from Demens Landing to Vinoy Park.
Event Details
This tour visits the breezy and beautiful waterfront to study its evolution from a gritty coastline filled with fishing boats and smokestacks to a glittering promenade teeming with tourists.
We’ll learn about the waterfront parks, the history of Spring Training, and how zoning changed Beach Drive. We’ll view the stunning Vinoy Hotel and the prettiest public restroom, while gaining an appreciation for how the things we don’t see anymore – like the segregated beach and the grand hotel that Hollywood blew up, have influenced our past.
PERFECT FOR: Tourists + Locals looking to understand the importance of urban planning, baseball, and tourism in the city’s history (and a breezy stroll!)
THE DETAILS: Rotating Sat. afternoons • 1.5 hours • 1.5 miles
Tour Details
This tour starts at 1:30pm and will last 1.5 hours and cover 1.5 miles of flat terrain. We’ll provide a bottle of cold water at the beginning of the tour that participants can carry with them. Guests also may enjoy half price on any drink from Kahwa Coffee either before or after the tour, with a voucher provided by your guide. Tickets are $25 per person and are limited to 25 attendees per tour. The tour will begin on the bridge to Demens Landing at 1st Ave South and Bayshore Dr. Southeast, in downtown St. Petersburg.
