Ringling College Galleries is proud to present Lost Summer; a collection of landscape paintings created by Ringling College Alumna, Lee Mayer (Commercial Art 72’). For thousands of years, the human race has been hooked by landscape art whatever the medium, although it only became a recognized genre of art in the late 15th century. As nineteenth century Swiss essayist, Henri Frederic Amiel, wrote, “Landscape is a state of mind”. In this collection of small and mid-scale paintings, Mayer explores the light, nature, harmony, and color of the natural beauty of Canadian summers.

Ireland With Michael LIVE is a multimedia experience that combines the music, dance & stories of Ireland and features the ethereal voice of leading Irish tenor Michael Londra. Following the overwhelming success of Seasons #1 and #2 of the Ireland With Michael travel and music series on PBS in 2021 and 2022 (over 82% reach of all U.S Households and 8,400 individual airings across the United States), the LIVE theatrical show based on the PBS program will tour U.S cities in 2023. Season #3 of the PBS show will air on stations from January 2023.
Emmy® award-nominated singer and the Voice of Riverdance on Broadway, Michael Londra interlaces songs and stories of Ireland to a backdrop of spectacular footage filmed for his PBS travel series in his new show Ireland With Michael LIVE. In doing so, he creates an immersive journey around the Emerald Isle for his audience. Irish dancers, Fiddles and Pipes add to the feast of Celtic talent onstage, drawing the audience across the Atlantic Ocean to Ireland.
Ireland With Michael – LIVE is an immersive celebration of Irish culture and music for the Irish American Heritage Month of March. Michael shares his own connection to songs and stories of his home county, his love of traditional music backed by his immensely talented band and world champion Irish dancers. The live concert is a perfect addition to St Patrick’s Day celebrations.
The stunning set for Ireland With Michael LIVE adds a multimedia dimension to the show. Conceptualized and designed by an award-winning Broadway Lighting & Projection designer, the backdrop incorporates drone footage and excerpts from Michael’s PBS travel show of the same name. In both the Television show and in Ireland With Michael LIVE, Londra tells the story of Ireland the only way he knows how – through music.

Great beginner class for all ages. Bring your kids and grandparents too. Jules has been a resin pro for 4 years teaching locally and this class is perfected into a kit.
The tools in your kit will help you easily create oceans inside shells from local beaches. You will not have to share supplies and get everything to create 6 shells with an ocean theme.
The resin technique you will learn is tinting resin with pigment powder. Please don’t bring shells unless you plan to accept a charge for extra resin if your shells are large. Also, no refunds only rescheduling is available—resin class age 10 and under with adult supervision. Resin does not come off of clothes so dress appropriately.

Engage your creative sensibility with the lost art of Calligraphy! Join Francesca Simon, a professional calligrapher, to learn the basics of drawing
Event Details
Join Francesca Simon, a professional calligrapher, to learn the basics of drawing Italic style calligraphy. It doesn’t matter if you have “bad Handwriting”.
Calligraphy – the art of beautiful writing – can stimulate the artist within anyone. Learning to move the hand fluidly and to explore the beauty of shapes begins to help one see with the eye of an artist.
Writing is fundamental — it’s one of the first things we learn in school. But this computer age has deprived us of the intimacy of hand-written communication.
An intimate note, a handwritten poem or the address on a card may revive a memory and fill a heart with happiness. If you are ready to incorporate calligraphy into your creations, this class is for you.
