Anchoring the Ringling College Museum Campus, the Museum has 15,000 square feet of dedicated exhibition gallery space, Bistro, Shop, auditorium for educational events, performance and film, a sculpture courtyard and extensive grounds and facilities where one can engage with site-specific and site-responsive art experiences.

Join us for live jazz at Sarasota Art Museum, hosted by the Jazz Club of Sarasota, featuring Michael J. Ross and Company and extended hours in the galleries, Bistro, and SHOP!
Sip on refreshing cocktails and enjoy small bites in the Bistro. Each second Thursday of the month features a different style of jazz–from straight-ahead to free jazz, bebop to swing–programmed in partnership with Jazz Club of Sarasota. Galleries are open until 7 pm on Jazz Thursdays.
Jazz Thursday activities:
- Enjoy Michael J. Ross and Company performance on the Marcy & Michael Klein Plaza from 5:30 to 8 pm.
- Grab dinner and drinks at Bistro, which opens at 5 pm, serving a special evening menu, beer, wine, and cocktails.
- Explore the exhibitions in our galleries, with hours extended to 7 pm.
- Treasure hunt in SHOP all evening!
CHECK-IN
Check-in begins at 4:30 pm, and seating opens in the Plaza at 5 pm.
For guest safety, personal chairs are not permitted on-site.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Food and Beverage are available for purchase on-site through the Bistro. Please refrain from bringing outside food and beverage.
Members always receive their 10% discount in SHOP.
Members receive a 10% discount on food and non-alcoholic beverages in Bistro.
Please bring your membership card, as proof of membership is required for complimentary members’ entry.
About Michael J. Ross
Award-winning bassist and composer, Michael Ross, captivates audiences with his exceptional skill and dedication to musical excellence. Collaborating with musicians such as Nat Adderly, Jimmie Cobb, Herbie Mann, and countless others, Michaels’s influence is felt throughout the musical landscapes of the Southeastern United States.
Joining Michael are Walt Hubbard, a well-respected Florida jazz drummer, Anthony Aldisi, a boundary-pushing young pianist with collaborations that include Marcus Miller and Terrell Stafford, saxophonist Daniel Jordan, whose career features tours and notable recordings with Maynard Ferguson, Natalie Cole, Larry Coryell, Arturo Sandoval, and Elvin Jones, and Fred Johnson, a vocalist who has toured internationally with the likes of Chick Corea and Aretha Franklin and has been delighting audiences internationally for decades.
