𝐒𝐄𝐏𝐓. 𝟏𝟒: “Herbert West has a good head on his shoulders…and another one on his desk.”
That’s right, it’s almost horror-movie season, and we’re screening the over-the-top, bat-shit crazy comedy horror classic 𝐑𝐄-𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐑 to celebrate!* Join as @greenlightcinema in downtown St. Pete for the cult shenanigans – this is one you absolutely must experience with a fun crowd!
Based on the H.P. Lovecraft serial novelette “Herbert West-Reanimator” and directed by Stuart Gordon, the film stars Jeffrey Combs as a medical student who has invented a reagent that can re-animate mangled corpses. It’s gory, hilarious, unmistakably 1980s, and a helluva lot of fun.
*(For you horror nerds out there: we will be screening the beautifully restored–and gorier–UNRATED cut.)
Our amigo and horror film encyclopedia @thebrandonwindish – co-host of the always entertaining @deadcitydrivein podcast – will be there to introduce the film.
Green Light Cinema is our official home base on the St. Pete side of the Bay for the remainder of the year. Per our previous programming announcement (see our profile), we’ll be alternating months between St. Pete and Tampa.
See you all at Green Door soon! Advance tickets are available at the link in our bio, but can also be purchased at the door on the night of the event (if still available).
