About the tour

Architecture and nature lovers rejoice! There is no better way to view architecture in a coastal environment than from the unique vantage point of the water. Sarasota School of Architecture practitioner Carl Abbott, will start the tour by talking about his and Leo Lunardi’s Butterfield House, located across the canal from Paul Rudolph’s Healy Guest House (aka “Cocoon House”). Then you’ll take to the water, where a nature guide and a design expert will lead you through an unforgettable tour experience.

Single or double kayaks available.

Requires previous kayaking experience.

Kayaking route is approximately 2 hours.

Not advised for those with health conditions; no children under age 6.

Tours and Eco guide provided by Kayaking SRQ accompanied by an Architecture Sarasota design expert.
